I've been making videos with AI tools. That's the simple version.

The longer version is that I'm trying to figure out what these tools can actually do — not what the demos show, not what the press releases promise, but what happens when you sit down with them and try to make something real.

Most of what you'll find here started as an experiment. A song I wanted to visualize. A concept I wanted to explore. A model that came out last week that I needed to understand before I could write about it. Some of these turned out better than I expected. Some didn't. All of them taught me something.

I built my own production pipeline: a system that takes a piece of music or a creative idea and turns it into a scene-based film using the latest image and video generation models. It's not magic. It's a lot of generating, reviewing, rejecting, and occasionally being surprised. The tools change fast. What wasn't possible three months ago often is now. That's mostly what I'm chasing.

I write about AI's impact on work and employment. These videos are the other half of that same investigation: not reading about what's changing, but doing it. If you want to understand what generative AI can and can't do, there's no substitute for trying.

I'm not a filmmaker. I'm someone who finds these questions genuinely interesting and keeps showing up to see what changed this week.
